However, we still have a long way to go. As INAPSE (Indiana Association for Persons in Supported Employment) notes, “Access to jobs with competitive wages is essential if citizens with disabilities are to avoid lives of poverty, dependence and isolation.”
The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is over 70%. That’s completely unacceptable.
