Time goes so fast, Shannon muses as she ponders her upcoming retirement. “It’s been a fun 20 years!” she says of her job as a hospitality associate at Ice Miller. Three days a week, she monitors the kitchen areas spanning the firm’s seven floors of the One America building downtown. Coffee supplies don’t dwindle under her watch.
Shannon landed the job through Noble’s Employment Services, and says she’s going to miss seeing her Employment Consultant Dan Mahoney. He agrees, saying that her positive energy is one of the best parts of his week.
Now, Shannon is looking forward to traveling to her brother’s wedding in the Carolinas and then settling into a life of volunteering at her local library and spending time with her husband Mark.
