On April 25, a dozen volunteers gathered in the Noble Sensory Garden to prepare the area for spring. After more than 36 wheelbarrow loads of leaves and weeds were removed, the group switched gears. It was time to mulch.
This particular project has been a team effort with Corteva Agriscience, and Noble is blessed to enjoy many such partnerships.
Just the day before, United Way of Central Indiana hosted its annual Go All In Day, channeling the efforts of over 1,000 volunteers across the area. Of those, 15 volunteers from Eli Lilly and Sponsel CPA Group spent the morning working in Noble’s Giving Sum Garden.
And just days before that, volunteers from Nordstrom threw a sports jamboree for the people we serve (they took this group photo afterward).
As we wrap up Volunteer Appreciation Week, we would like to express our deepest appreciation for the hundreds of volunteers who spend time with those we serve, help us with landscaping, plan our special events and undertake dozens of other projects.
The numbers paint a compelling picture:
- Over 450 volunteered their time and talent with Noble in the past year.
- In the last 10 months, they gave us well over 3,200 hours.
- According to an analysis conducted by the Non-Profit Times, the value of a volunteer hour in Indiana was $32.62 in 2025.
- That’s a contribution equivalent to over $100,000!
On behalf of everyone at Noble, thank you to our incredible volunteers!
